Introducing: Cocomama Reef-Safe Sunscreen For All
The story of love, passion, & sustainability
Michelle Gina and Stefanus Lega are passionate about the ocean and the environment, living their life in coastal town in the Komodo National Park. They founded Cocomama to create safe, effective, and sustainable skincare products. Their products are made with natural ingredients that are sourced locally, and they are packaged in reusable materials.
The labor out of love
Michelle is a trained yoga instructor, and she believes that skincare is an important part of overall wellness. Stefanus is a passionate scuba diver, and he is committed to protecting the ocean.
One day, Michelle became pregnant. The tropical climate made her skin sensitive, and she started to have trouble finding skincare products that worked for her. She decided to start creating her own formulas, using cold-pressed coconut oil as the base. The products were a hit with Michelle's yoga students, and soon she was selling them to friends and family.
Save your skin, save the ocean
Stefanus was inspired by Michelle's commitment to sustainability. He helped her to develop reef-safe sunscreens (and soap bars) that were gentle on the skin and the environment. In result, the sunscreen is Indonesian FDA's approved, reef-safe, and kind for skin of all ages and context!
Cocomama Sunscreen and all the products were born out of Michelle and Stefanus's love for the ocean and their passion for creating safe, effective, and sustainable skincare products.
Michelle and Stefanus are proud to be able to share their love of the ocean with others through Cocomama. They believe that everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment, and they are committed to making a difference.
